I believe anyone can be wealthy. Wealth to me is the richness of experiences and time spent with family and friends – not a high net worth, high income or other financial metrics.
It is a privilege to help families manage their ever-changing lives and relationships with money. No two situations are alike, which promotes an environment of continuous curiosity and learning.
I am an avid motorcycle enthusiast. I have two Kawasaki’s; a KLR650 and a Z650RS.

I want to develop long-term business relationships with clients, and that relationship-building starts at the very first meeting. I will listen to my client’s concerns and answer their financial questions.
The best way to serve clients is to listen. Finances are very personal. We discuss different issues, concerns, and aspirations to help clients develop a clear strategy to reach their financial and individual objectives.
Client satisfaction drives me. I want to help in any way I can, no matter the issue. Happy clients are my greatest accomplishment!
When the client first meets me, they can expect the utmost professionalism. I strive to create an environment where they feel heard, respected, and valued.

I like to think of being wealthy as living in abundance, and this is not strictly based on money. Wealth can come in many different forms: health, relationships, and of course financial freedom. At its core, being wealthy gives us the ability to make meaningful and fulfilling life choices that align with what makes us happy.
I get to work with people I really like, knowing that our expertise and our service will make their lives better.

I’ve been playing the drums for the last 23 years.
Being wealthy allows you to use money as a tool to improve your life rather than covering the necessities. Wealth allows you to transition from paying for ‘needs’ to funding ‘ wants’.
When you help someone make financial decisions you learn how they see the world. Seeing a variety of perspectives helps me give more context when families I work with are considering choices and also allows me to make better decisions in my own life.
I’ve lived in over 20 different homes.
For me, wealth is about time, control, flexibility, and health (financial and personal) that allows us to be generous and fully present in our lives.
I’m excited to be part of a firm that’s elevating how financial advice is delivered in Canada.
My wife is an emergency physician and an absolute hero in our family. Watching her work has shaped a lot of how I think about resilience and service. I also have a son and daughter who challenge me more than anything ever has—and outside of work, most of my life revolves around trying to stay healthy enough to keep up with two energetic kids.
Having the means to fund a happy and healthy life.
Being able to add clarity to a part of people’s lives that tends to be very opaque.
I am an aspiring home chef who probably spends too much time learning about food science.
Options, great choices, freedom and flexibility.
Helping clients plan and reach their potential.
My family catch phrase is “Is everybody happy!”

Despite my appearance, I love going to hard rock and metal concerts. I’ve seen a bunch of the classic metal bands, including Metallica 7 times.
Despite working in the financial services industry, the first word that springs to mind when thinking of wealth, is experience. When I look back at my life I will likely not be too concerned with how much money I have spent or accumulated during my lifetime. Rather I will look back fondly on the experiences I have had and the people I have had the privilege to meet. That being said wealth in the traditional sense and a wealth of experience can sometimes go hand in hand.
Every day I look forward to being able to contribute to the improvement of our client’s lives. Knowing that the work we do here at PWL Capital could relieve some anxiety or contribute to achieving a goal fills me with motivation and a sense of fulfillment.

There are so many brilliant people here at PWL that really care about the clients we work with. I’m really excited to be working and learning alongside them as we help clients feel confident that their finances are working the best they can for them.

I resonate most with Epictetus’s (Greek philosopher) definition of wealth: “Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants”. I love this definition because to me, it captures contentment and happiness within the word wealth.
The logic here is that “great possessions” won’t feel so great in a room full of “greater possessions” (which there will always be), but needing less will always be better than needing more, when optimizing for contentment (the most important metric to optimize for, in my opinion).
Fewer wants/needs = wealthier.
Providing clients with a blend of academia and practitioner-based advice. In my experience, retail investors generally only get practitioner-based advice, in a best-case scenario*. Academia based concepts like factor-based investing are typically reserved only for institutional clients.
*Worst case scenario is non-practitioner, non-academia-based advice, which is also sadly very common in the Canadian retail investor advice segment.

To me, wealth is a multifaceted state of well-being that goes beyond financial stability. It includes having the economic resources to meet one’s needs and desires comfortably, without worry about the future. It also encompasses access to high-quality education and healthcare, which are essential for personal development and maintaining a good quality of life.
Wealth involves having robust social networks – connections with family, friends, and the community that provide support, opportunities, and a sense of belonging.
Additionally, wealth means having the freedom to pursue one’s passions and interests, the ability to make choices that align with personal values, and the opportunity to achieve personal fulfillment.
In essence, being wealthy is about enjoying a holistic sense of prosperity that includes financial security, access to education and healthcare, strong social bonds, and the liberty to lead a fulfilling and purposeful life.
The opportunity to positively impact the financial well-being of thousands of people across the country excites me the most. Coming from academia, particularly in engineering, the goal is to apply knowledge and expertise to solve real-world problems that lead to meaningful improvements in society and people’s lives. At PWL Capital, I have the unique opportunity to apply cutting-edge planning strategies to help people achieve their goals on a large scale.
