What does being wealthy mean to you?

I like to think of being wealthy as living in abundance, and this is not strictly based on money. Wealth can come in many different forms: health, relationships, and of course financial freedom. At its core, being wealthy gives us the ability to make meaningful and fulfilling life choices that align with what makes us happy.

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

I get to work with people I really like, knowing that our expertise and our service will make their lives better.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I come from a great big mixed family with 13 aunts and uncles, too many cousins to count, a Chilean father, two Spanish brothers, and a Franco-Ontarian upbringing.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Having time to invest in the relationships, hobbies, and work that are meaningful to me.

I love making personal connections with people and adding value to their lives though high quality advice and service. I also love working at a company where I believe in the mission and am encouraged to do what is right for clients, no matter what.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I’ve been playing the drums for the last 23 years.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Being wealthy allows you to use money as a tool to improve your life rather than covering the necessities. Wealth allows you to transition from paying for ‘needs’ to funding ‘ wants’.

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

When you help someone make financial decisions you learn how they see the world. Seeing a variety of perspectives helps me give more context when families I work with are considering choices and also allows me to make better decisions in my own life.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I’ve lived in over 20 different homes.

Having the freedom and health to enjoy life’s simple pleasures each day and feel genuinely content.

I get to collaborate with like-minded people each day and build trusted, long-term relationships with clients.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I write and record music under the band name “Connor & the Musicians”.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

For me, wealth is about time, control, flexibility, and health (financial and personal) that allows us to be generous and fully present in our lives.

I’m excited to be part of a firm that’s elevating how financial advice is delivered in Canada.

What is something most people might not know about you?

My wife is an emergency physician and an absolute hero in our family. Watching her work has shaped a lot of how I think about resilience and service. I also have a son and daughter who challenge me more than anything ever has—and outside of work, most of my life revolves around trying to stay healthy enough to keep up with two energetic kids.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Having the means to fund a happy and healthy life.

Being able to add clarity to a part of people’s lives that tends to be very opaque.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I am an aspiring home chef who probably spends too much time learning about food science.

My family catch phrase is “Is everybody happy!”

Reaching a point where money no longer dictates your choices, and you can focus on what truly matters.

The ability to put clients first in a way that genuinely shapes their long‑term financial wellbeing. Financial planning matters because it gives people clarity, confidence, and control over their future.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I was once ranked among the top three to four high‑school badminton players in Southern California.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Being wealthy means having enough. Enough time to hang out with your friends, enough health to play with your kids, enough money to be generous to the causes that are important to you. The hardest part is getting the goalposts to stop moving. That’s where we come in.

Every day I get to guide clients towards meeting their goals and achieving complete financial independence! I am proud and grateful to work for a firm that has an evidence based, conflict-free approach to investing and wealth management.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I am an avid and long-suffering fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. This is the year.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Being wealthy means having choices in life, especially when it comes to how to spend your time. If you’re able to choose to spend time on what you value and enjoy, that is the meaning of wealth to me!

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

I love being able to help people live more meaningful lives. Whether that means helping them define their goals, or figure out ways to achieve them, it’s rewarding to be part of such an important part of their lives. I am also privileged to work with such a great team here at PWL, and we’re constantly learning and encouraging each other to be better.

What is something most people might not know about you?

When I was a high school teacher, I not only ran a Personal Finance club, but also the Dance and Music clubs at the school. One of my favourite memories was choreographing and co-directing our first school musical in 2019!

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Being able to wake up everyday without the stress of personal finance consuming my thoughts and energy. This translates into more energy allocated into the right channels, such as family, friends and health!

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

Every work day, client scenario and meeting is different than the one prior. There is always something new to learn!

What is something most people might not know about you?

I am a foodie. To add to that, MasterChef, Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares are some of my favorite TV shows. Pretty much anything involving food!

To me, being wealthy means having the freedom to spend your day doing things you enjoy, whatever that may be.

As Morgan Housel said in the Psychology of Money:
“The ability to do what you want, when you want, with who you want, for as long as you want, is priceless. It is the highest dividend money pays.”

What is something most people might not know about you?

My favourite sport is basketball! I grew up playing a lot of basketball and still play to this day. Although, as years go by, I have started to pick up some less-physically-demanding sports like beach volleyball, golf, and pickleball.

To me, being wealthy means having the freedom to enjoy life the way one wants with little worry about the cost.

I love working for a company that places the interests of clients first and values evidence over guesses and gut-feelings. No sales quotas, no crystal balls.

What is something most people might not know about you?

Despite my appearance, I love going to hard rock and metal concerts. I’ve seen a bunch of the classic metal bands, including Metallica 7 times.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Despite working in the financial services industry, the first word that springs to mind when thinking of wealth, is experience. When I look back at my life I will likely not be too concerned with how much money I have spent or accumulated during my lifetime. Rather I will look back fondly on the experiences I have had and the people I have had the privilege to meet. That being said wealth in the traditional sense and a wealth of experience can sometimes go hand in hand.

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

Every day I look forward to being able to contribute to the improvement of our client’s lives. Knowing that the work we do here at PWL Capital could relieve some anxiety or contribute to achieving a goal fills me with motivation and a sense of fulfillment.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I am fluent in Italian.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

I did not grow up in an affluent household, so my idea of wealthy is surprisingly modest. Being able to use a plastic baggie JUST ONCE and throwing it away afterwards feels like wealth to me.

I love helping people, and working at PWL lets me focus the expertise of some world class minds on the subject of helping individual families.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I am a curler, a reader, an anglophile, and an ailurophile.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

Wealthy to me means having a sense of security and being able to make decisions based on fulfilment and joy.

What really excites me is the detail and care that goes into helping our clients. The team is very open with the work we are doing, and there is a continuous mission to improve the service to clients.

What is something most people might not know about you?

There are a lot in depth financial discussions around the house, as both my Wife and I are Certified Financial Planners.

What does being wealthy mean to you?

To me, being wealthy isn’t a specific dollar amount. It’s about having the freedom to live the life that brings happiness to myself and my loved ones, without the weight of worrying about the future.

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

There are so many brilliant people here at PWL that really care about the clients we work with. I’m really excited to be working and learning alongside them as we help clients feel confident that their finances are working the best they can for them.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I am an avid video and board gamer and am never without a book to escape into.

Having control over your time.

I grew up on a beef farm in Northern Ontario.

To me, being wealthy means having the freedom to pursue the goals I want, spend time with the people I love, and do what brings me joy every day.

I’m an avid sailor and I love to cook.

I have a deep love of literature.

What is something most people might not know about you?

Something most people might not know about me is I am a car fanatic. I love reading and learning everything there is to know about many different models.

Wealth is more than just dollars and cents in a bank account, it is about freedom and enjoying the life you want to live. The finances are just a tool to help you to achieve that life.

Being surrounded by passionate people who put clients first. It allows me to be proud of the work that I do, and who I do it for.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I’m an avid animal lover, I share a house with 2 dogs and 2 cats. Each of them in their own way likes to help with my work.

Having enough money to enjoy the small things in life and enough for a rainy day.

I am an avid pickleball player, love photography and enjoy nature.

Being wealthy to me means having the flexibility to do things that bring you joy.

I enjoy having the opportunity to help clients build & achieve their financial goals.

What is something most people might not know about you?

I love to be creative, I have a passion for designing home decor and seasonal items. And in my spare time I enjoy curling up with a good book.

For me, being wealthy means leading a rich and fulfilling life; having some resources to be able to spend time doing things that I like with people I love.

What excites you about the work you do at PWL Capital?

I like having a bird’s eye view of the work we do; to see processes from end to end as they transition between departments and work to make them smoother. Everything we do affects the client experience, from operations all the way to how we communicate; knowing that I can help improve that is really rewarding.

What is something most people might not know about you?

Long ago, I was a fashion designer and I still have and wear some pieces that I made. Now I use my skills to create elaborate Halloween costumes for my kids.
