Position Summary 

The Senior Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights that support PWL’s brand strategy, client acquisition efforts, advisor growth initiatives, and overall business objectives. As a key member of the Brand Experience team, this role partners closely with Brand Experience Team members, advisors, leadership, and cross-functional teams to measure performance, identify opportunities, and improve decision-making through meaningful analysis and reporting. 

The Senior Marketing Data Analyst develops and maintains reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytical models that provide visibility into content effectiveness, digital engagement, lead generation, client acquisition, referral activity, and marketing return on investment. The role serves as a bridge between marketing, business intelligence, and strategic planning, helping ensure that the firm’s growth initiatives are informed by accurate data and actionable insights. 

The successful candidate is a highly analytical and curious professional with strong business acumen, a passion for storytelling through data, and the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations that support business growth and client engagement. 

Key Responsibilities 

Content & Thought Leadership Analytics 

  • Measure and report on the performance of articles, white papers, videos, podcasts, webinars, and other thought leadership content. 
  • Analyze audience engagement and content consumption trends to identify topics and formats that resonate with clients and prospects. 
  • Provide recommendations to support the firm’s content strategy and thought leadership initiatives. 

Client Acquisition & Advisor Growth Analytics 

  • Track prospect activity and conversion through the client acquisition journey. 
  • Analyze referral sources, lead quality, and conversion trends to identify growth opportunities. 
  • Partner with advisors and leadership to provide insights into business development activities and client growth trends. 
  • Develop reporting that supports advisor and regional growth initiatives. 

Strategic Business Reporting 

  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting for senior leadership. 
  • Support annual planning, strategic initiatives, and business growth projects through data analysis and insights. 
  • Collaborate with Data & BI teams to establish consistent reporting methodologies and performance metrics across the organization. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related analytical role. 
  • Experience within wealth management, financial services, investment management, banking, or a highly regulated industry is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience supporting executive-level decision-making through data analysis and reporting. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful insights. 
  • Advanced proficiency with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms. 
  • Experience working with CRM and marketing platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Google Analytics, or similar technologies. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with large datasets. 
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data querying techniques is strongly preferred. 
  • Understanding of digital marketing metrics, campaign measurement, customer journey analysis, and attribution methodologies. 
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and analytical findings to non-technical audiences. 
  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Professional certifications in analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, or digital marketing analytics are considered an asset. 
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and performance scorecards. 
  • Familiarity with wealth management client acquisition models, advisor business development, and financial services marketing practices is considered an asset.
